Raoui – The Storyteller by Souad Massi

A goodnight song for my friends!

I feel somehow “arabic” tonight – so I put this song of which I don’t understand nearly anything at all – but I just love the wonderful sound of the language! And I will try to understand a bit more one day… I’m working on it :))

Ce soir je me sens très proche à mes ami(e)s arabophones et arabophiles…

Massaa el-kheyr wa massaa ennoor wa layla saida!

Souad massi – RAOUI

  1. What a beautiful song! I love Souad Massi, although, sadly, I can’t understand Arabic. I’m so impressed you are learning. I’d love to learn it too, and hope to one day. With the different alphabet, it’s difficult for me — I guess I’m too visual with languages, and it helps me to be able to read it sometimes when I’m learning. But what a wonderful challenge it would be.

Do you know the song “Paris?” by Souad Massi and Marc Lavoine? It’s beautiful. You have inspired me, and I just posted it on my Multiply page. Now I think I’ll put it on my 360 too. Thanks for the wonderful post my twin sister! Hugs!
