Let’s read Aristoteles: poetics…

No tea in the afternoon – a ghastly experience – I’m still shivering. Next week I’ll take some teabags to our reading circle…

discussing Ἀριστοτέλης – Ποιητική

Question: what means “art” nowadays (according to our Guru Walter Seitter)?

It’s both
a maximal complexity – id est facing an artwork the viewer, listener or reader is overhelmed by a maximum of impressions, thoughts or sensations and thus produces himself a lot of pics, texts or feelings…
and
the search of the “highest good” – which you could achieve through religion or erotic or – in our times – the pure art respectively.

Is this an aristotalian way of puting it – did Aristotle anticipate our modern views?
or platonian? or postmodern or deconstructiv???
